POLICY ENLARGE is officially underway.

Our team joined consortium partners in Budapest for the project's kick-off meeting at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME), marking the official launch of this new Horizon Europe initiative running from April 2026 to March 2029.

POLICY ENLARGE builds on the legacy of POLICY ANSWERS, extending EU-supported research and innovation policy cooperation to all ten enlargement economies — including Georgia. For GIRI, this represents a direct opportunity to contribute to evidence-based R&I policy-making at regional level, with Georgia now part of a single policy support framework alongside the Western Balkans, Moldova, Türkiye, and Ukraine.

Over two days, partners worked through the project’s key pillars: policy dialogue, peer learning, capacity building, financial support to third parties, and an upgraded information hub — alongside continued work on Smart Specialisation, gender equality, and regional cooperation.

We are proud to be part of this broad consortium and look forward to the work ahead.
