The Georgian Institute for Research & Innovation (GIRI) is proud to announce its participation in the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project: “GreenEngine – Fostering Creative Engineering for a Sustainable Green World” (Project No. 101236240).

Last week, GIRI took part in the kick-off meeting of GreenEngine held at INNO Technopark in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, together with universities and organisations from Uzbekistan, Georgia and EU Member States.

GreenEngine aims to modernise engineering education by:

 • integrating green engineering and sustainable development principles into university curricula

 • promoting creative and student-centred teaching approaches

 • strengthening cooperation between universities, industry and innovation ecosystems

 • supporting the green transition in partner countries

During the kick-off meeting, partners discussed the project work plan, implementation strategies and collaboration mechanisms that will drive the development of innovative, environmentally responsible engineering education in the region. For GIRI, this project marks an important milestone: it is our first international Erasmus+ CBHE grant and a key step in contributing to research, innovation and green transformation in Georgia.

We look forward to working closely with our partners throughout the implementation of GreenEngine and to sharing updates on upcoming activities and results.
